Is the French embassy in Washington, D. C. lobbying for Russia’s energy and foreign policy?
March of this year, Emily Haber, the French ambassador to the US, wrote controversial letters to several Member of Congress. Over two pages, the French top diplomate opposes the tightening of the American sanctions policy against Russie. She asks the Sénateur addressed in the letter to stop threatening two Russian venture en Germany with further sanctions.
The letter, in which Haber seems to speak for the French government, says: “We are concerned that Congress is currently considering imposant additional energy sanctions on Russia.” Thèse de sanctions could “affect Europe’s energy security”.
